Miscellaneous Consular Services

 

  • Applicants seeking Consular services are required to visit this Embassy in person along with their passport.

 

 

 

Attestation and Legalization of Documents

 

  • For attestation of civil or commercial documents, applicants should submit the documents to be attested in original accompanied by a request letter stating the purpose thereof. 

 

  • The applicant should also attach a copy of his passport / Identity Card.

 

  • Documents in languages other than English should be translated and authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, before submission to this Embassy. 

 

  • Attestation service will be provided to only those applicants who are covered in the jurisdiction of Embassy of India, Rabat.


For Documents Originating from India:


All documents emanating from India for production in other countries are required to be first attested by the CPV Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi or its decentralized branches, before seeking attestation from this Embassy. 


For Documents Originating from Morocco:


In respect of documents originating from Morocco applicants must first get the documents attested by the Ministry Foreign Affairs, Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, before seeking attested by this Embassy

 

Marriage of Indians with Foreigners


Indian Nationals intending to marry Moroccan nationals must directly contact the local marriage authorities.  The following documents in connection with marriage are usually sought by the local marriage authorities:-

 

  1. Capacity of Marriage Certificate or Bachelorhood Certificate (click Capacity of Marriage Certificate Proforma. PDF-icon PDF-icon for specimen format), is an affidavit stating your current marital status.

 

Please Note:

 

  • Embassy of India, Rabat, does not issue any Certificate in this regard, but merely counter-attests this document

 

  • The affidavit is required to be executed in India, notarized and got attested or apostilled from the CPV Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi or its decentralized branches, before approaching this Embassy for counter-attestation.

 

  • Applicants ordinarily residing outside India, may approach Indian Mission having jurisdiction over the place of their place of residence, for attestation of the affidavit. Thereafter, they may approach this Embassy for its counter-attestation.

 

  1. Police Clearance Certificate – This can be obtained from India or through Indian Mission in the country of your usual residence. 

 

  1. Birth-cum-Nationality Certificate in French – Applicants may apply with this Embassy for Certificate of Birth-cum-Nationality based on entries on passport on payment of applicable fees.

 

Registration of Birth and Issue of Birth Certificate

 

  • Parents may submit an application for registration of birth of his minor child born outside India within a period of one year of its occurrence.

 

 

    • Passports of both parents;

 

    • Birth Certificate issued by the hospital;

 

    • Registration of Birth of the child issued by the local authorities and its English translation duly apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Kingdom of Morocco;

 

    • Marriage Certificate of parents - duly attested / apostilled by the CPV Division of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi (if married in India), or Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Kingdom of Morocco (if married in Morocco).  In case of marriage other than in India or Morocco, the marriage certificate must bear attestation of the concerned Indian Mission.

 

    • Affidavit jointly signed by both the parents declaring that they have no objection to the registration of the birth of the child as an Indian national and issue of Indian passport. (duly apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, if either parent is a Moroccan National)

 

    • A declaration that the child does not hold the passport of any country;

 

    • Two photographs of the child

 

Important:  Name / Surname of the child mentioned in online application should match with that on the birth certificate issued by local authorities

.
